players in the worldachancetoshow off their skills
on the world-famous video game.
The winner of the solocompetition, 16-year-old
Kyle Giersdorf from the US, won £2.4 million. The
winners of the duoscompetition, DavidWang from
Austria and Emil BergquistPedersen from Norway,
also won £2.4 million. Jaden Ashman,a15-year-old
fromLondon,came second in the duos event and will
share£1.8 million with his tea

game, and points wereawarded based on how long

Hundreds savedfrom

train trapped in flood

mergency services in Mumbai,acity on India’s
westcoast, haverescued 1,050 passengers
fromatrain that became trapped in flooding. The
Mahalaxmi Express left Mumbai forKolhapur on
26 July butwasstranded shortly into its journey.
Thetrain raninto trouble in the town ofVangani,
after the track flooded following heavyrain. After
12 hours, the Indian Navy and the National Disaster
ResponseForce launched an operation torescue the
trapped passengers. Thecompany Indian Railways
says all passengers weresafelyremoved from the
train within five hours. Boats, diving teams and
helicopters wereused to help get people safely off
the train.Acamp with food and medical supplieswas
set up for the passengers, who got on another train to
finish their journey.
Heavyrainfall has affected many towns in India
rece ntly,because it is the monsoon season. The
monsoon isaseasonal change in the wind that
brings heavyrain during the summer to some Asian
countries. Over the past two weeksmorethan 250
people have died across India because of flooding.

trying to encourage nesting by building
