CORRESPONDENCE 1

  1. What do you understand by waiting on the Lord?

Well! Waiting on the Lord is more like a retreat. It means different
things for different times for me. But majorly a retreat.

2. Have you ever felt like you have waited for long, and can
you share an experience with us.

There was an occasion I waited on God for an answer to a
particular question bothering my mind. It was a question about
the will of God and the will of man and to which is more
paramount and much stronger. So, I took some time to study the
scriptures, pray and listen to God's word. But for weeks, I didn't
get a clear answer and there were lots of confusion because
anytime I read the scriptures, I was getting some other
revelations, but they didn't answer my question.

If it is a retreat as I said earlier, then it's never too long 'cause
you're in a more enclosed fellowship. So, I continued my pursuit
in the search of the truth from the scripture. After the retreat, I
decided I'll take a break and come back to it, but a few days after
getting back to normal businesses, I was doing something
absent mindedly when the answer came and it was not
expected and it even made more clarification to other
revelations I got during the retreat.

  1. What is your response when you are waiting and it doesn't
    seems to be forthcoming

4. What was your experience after you got what you were
waiting on God for?

The answer I got built my confidence and changed my
perspective about so many things. Sometimes you don't receive
your answer while waiting on God, but the process is a period of
building and sharpening of the mind to receive content from
God that will radically transform you to another level of walk with
God.

CORRESPONDENCE 2

  1. What do you understand by waiting on the Lord?

Waiting on God is to wait at His feet and to remain connected to
Him, that is, to depend on Him. I don't wait on God when I only
want to get something from Him, but I wait continually because
that is what keeps me alive. As i wait, instructions c, insights,
revelations and provisions supernaturally come.

For Me, the best thing to do while waiting is to continue waiting.
I needed to get accustomed to waiting and not get tired of it.
Christians need to normalize waiting. And by waiting, I mean
staying connected in relationship with God. I don't know how to
explain it better, but you can't stop waiting on God because that
is what validates you as a Christian. Christianity is all about
waiting. We will continue to wait on Him through the ages.

  1. What is your response when you are waiting and it doesn't
    seems to be forthcoming?

While waiting, I exercise hope for Him to do something for me
but sometimes, they do not come immediately. So, yes! I have
experienced a long period of waiting. For example, I've waited
long on God to heal my emotions. Some friends in church did
something really hurtful to me and my emotions went haywire. I
did not show it but inside of me, I was burning with negative
emotions. It began to affect my relationship with myself and
others and even God. I thought it was going to disappear but
later, it was like it came to stay. I was hoping against hope that
God would heal me on the inside.

I was in that state for months, and later running into a year. I felt
God had left me alone and I once cried to Him. It was very tough
and I was struggling for life. After a year and some months, it was
during an holiday and i felt the urge to read the scriptures. That
afternoon, I learnt about the waters of 'Marrah' and the waters of
'Life'. And the Holy Spirit taught me the true meaning of envy,
jealousy etc. I was taught that the root of all negative emotions is
pride. And I was taught the true meaning of pride and humility
in light of the Cross. That afternoon, I prayed like never before.
The love of God began to flood my soul and I began to love
everyone from the very depth of my heart.

2. Have you ever felt like you have waited for long, and can
