SUGGESTIONS FOR CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH*


➤ Progesterone. Use a natural form of progesterone in the
form of a cream. Follow the directions on the label.
➤ Pregnenolone. This hormone is especially effective in men.
Don’t take too much pregnenolone. It can cause headaches,
irritability, and lack of energy. Taking 1 or 2 mg daily with
periodic time-outs of one week is enough for most people.
➤ Red rice yeast (600 to 1,200 mg daily) with Ubiquinol
(activated form of CoQ-10; 150 to 300 mg daily). This is the
best protocol for lowering cholesterol. Ubiquinol, which
increases energy production in the heart, prevents liver
damage from the red rice yeast. (Statins also cause liver
damage, but doctors don’t have a remedy.) If your cholesterol
reading is over 300, take the maximum dose of both
supplements. If you are switching from a statin to red rice
yeast, consult an alternative health-care practitioner.
➤ Niacin (3 to 5 g/day). Niacin not only lowers cholesterol but
also removes arterial plaque.
➤ Cataplex E2. A whole-food vitamin E complex. Follow the
directions on the bottle. After taking regular vitamin E until
heart symptoms are eliminated, add Cataplex E2 to your
nutritional supplement regimen.
➤ Vitamin C (500 units/day).
➤ Vitamin A (20,000 units/day). Vitamin A promotes synthesis
of progesterone and pregnenolone.
➤ Vitamin E. If you’ve had a heart attack, begin taking 800 units
a day. Increase the dose by 200 units every six weeks until
your symptoms disappear. Don’t take more than 1,600 units.
For heart disease prevention, women should take 400 units
daily, men 800 units, and children no more than 100 units.
➤ Vitamin B complex. Find a complex that contains at least 50
mg of B 1 , B 2 , B 3 , and B 6. Your daily intake of folic acid should be
1,000 mcg/day. For prevention, take 800 mcg/day of folic acid,
