The largest gingerbread
village by area measured
45.29 m² (487.49 sq ft). It was
unveiled by El Dorado Royale
by Karisma (MEX) in Playa
del Carmen, Quintana Roo,
Mexico, on 11 Dec 2015. Based
on actual buildings in towns
on the Yucatán Peninsula,
it comprised 216 buildings
spread over 27 blocks, and
was completed by 16 chefs.LARGEST

LARGEST DISPLAY OF CHEESE VARIETIES
Brigitta Bonino (CHE) produced a display of 590 varieties
of cheese in Thörishaus, Bern, Switzerland, on 21 May 2016.
The display consisted entirely of Swiss cheeses. Brigitta owns
a cheese shop called Chäsi Thörishaus, and she attempted
the record in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
The largest cheese platter weighed 1,531.27 kg (3,375 lb
13.9 oz) and was prepared by Bel Leerdammer (NLD) in
Leerdam, Utrecht, Netherlands, on 11 Sep 2015.
LARGEST PRETZEL
Parent company Industrias La Constancia and its brand
Pilsener (both SLV) produced a 783.81-kg (1,728-lb) pretzel
on 25 Oct 2015 at CIFCO in San Salvador, El Salvador. That
makes the gigantic baked snack more than 4,600 times
heavier than an ordinary 170-g (6-oz) pretzel, or the same
weight as the heart of a blue whale. The pretzel measured
8.93 m (29 ft 3 in) long by 4.06 m (13 ft 3 in) wide.LARGEST TIN OF CAVIAR
On 28 Dec 2016, AmStur Caviar of Dubai (UAE) unveiled a
tin of caviar weighing 17.82 kg (39 lb 4.58 oz) at Dubai’s Burj
Al Arab Jumeirah hotel. Named “The Mashenomak”, after a
spirit monster fish of Native American legend, the entire tin
of Empress organic caviar was devoured by the hotel guests,
who ate from specially engraved mother-of-pearl spoons.LARGEST BUTTER SCULPTURE
On 26 Sep 2015, Lactalis American Group, Inc. (USA) presented a 2,370-lb
(1,075-kg) butter sculpture in New York City, USA. Made from Président
butter and constructed without any internal or external supports,
the sculpture was modelled after the Parisian skyline. It featured
famous landmarks of the city such as the Eiffel Tower,
Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe.LONGEST PIZZA

baked a pizza 1,853.88 m
(6,082 ft 3.4 in) long in
Naples, Italy, on 18 May- In all, 250 masters
of traditional Neapolitan
pizza gathered from all
over the world – some from
as far away as Australia
- for the attempt. The
recipe included 2,000 kg
(4,400 lb) of flour, 1,600 kg
(3,527 lb 6 oz) of tomatoes,
2,000 kg of fiordilatte
cheese and 200 litres
(52.8 US gal) of olive oil,
all from local suppliers.
