of paint on a baseball owned by Michael

Colorado, USA, on 13 Jan 2016. This record was
attempted for the first National Sticker Day in
the USA. Dubbed “Saul”, the ball was an officially

Weighing 4,097 kg (9,032 lb) – around twice the weight of an adult rhinoceros –
“Megaton” was created by Joel Waul (USA) and measured in Lauderhill, Florida, USA,
on 13 Nov 2008 for GWR Day. In all, 700,000 rubber bands were used for the sphere,
which Joel began making in Apr 2004. It is 2 m (6 ft 7 in) tall.
How do you count
paint layers? A tree
surgeon took a core
sample from the ball and
estimated that one layer
is around 0.000778
in
thick, making a total of
25,506 layers in all.
