firstmomentsofsunriselituptheSantaRosaMountainswithstriking
reds,oranges,andpurples,insharpcontrasttothestill-shadeddesert
floor.Thebrilliantcolor,however,onlylastedabout 20 to 30 minutes,
soeventhissmallwatercolor required two painting sessions for me to
capture the glow.”
