INSTAGRAM STORIES HAS
become a staple for cybernauts
since its integration into the
popular networking site.
Businesses use it to promote their
brand and products, celebrities
and companies utilize it to update
their fans and followers, while the
rest of us use it to connect and
share our lives to the people we
know and love.

Whether you’re using Stories for
business, branding, or personal
use, here are some tips and tricks
you may consider to make your
IG Stories stand out.

  1. MENTION A FRIEND
    Virtually let friends or fans
    know how much you had
fun in that last life event
    you shared by mentioning
    them. When uploading, just
    type “@” followed by the
    username of the person
    you wish to tag. Mentioning
    someone automatically
    alerts them with a push
    notification in the Direct
    Message (DM) window.

Alternatively, you can also
repost stories you are
mentioned in by simply
tapping on the “Add This to
Your Story” hyperlink found
on top of your tagged photo
on the DM window.

  1. CURATE STORIES’
    STYLING WITH THIRD-
    PARTY APPS
    Third party apps can enhance
    your Stories’ aesthetics
    beyond the boundaries of IG’s
    go-to text-, color-, and font-
    editing features.

Adobe Spark Post
(iOS, Android), PicPlayPost
(iOS, Android), and Unfold
(iOS, Android) are some
notable apps that can
transform ordinary images
to a la scrapbook collages
or graphic art. Hype Type
(iOS), meanwhile, is another
interesting app that can add
animated text overlays and
effects to your Stories.

  1. ENHANCE VIDEO
    CONTENT
    Remember: extremely
    lengthy videos produce too
    many stories. In effect, this
    could bore your audience
    and get them skipping
    your posts altogether.
    Our recommendation:
trim down long videos to a
    concise length, and consider
    enhancing the color and
    exposure for a better viewing
    experience. You may count
    on apps like InShot (iOS,
    Android) and FilmoraGo (iOS,
    Android) to do the job.
    4. USE INTERACTIVE
    STICKERS
    Want more engagement with
    your followers? Maximize the
stickers menu found on top of
    the interface. You can select
    from a variety of options—
throw a poll, ask a question,
pop a quiz, or have your
    audience rate your post with
    a slider icon. Then, simply
    wait in excitement how they
    will respond.
