that includes a warm
tungsten-lit interior
with cooler daylight
coming through the
windows. An easy
way to correct this is
with the Adjustment
Brush in Camera Raw
or Lightroom.

The ‘expose to the right’ shooting
technique involves intentionally
shooting for maximum brightness without
blowing the highlights, so that the histogram
is loaded to the right side. The image can
be fixed afterwards to darken it down. This
technique ensures maximum quality, as
shadows tend to be noisier than highlights.
So by recording more highlights and less
shadows, the image displays less noise.
