SUGGESTIONS FOR INFLAMMATORY
INTESTINAL DISORDERS*
➤ Far infrared pad. This pad alkalinizes the intestinal tract.
➤ Melatonin. Melatonin reduces stress hormone levels. Start
with 0.3 mg and increase the dosage until the desired effect is
obtained. Maximum dosage is 5 mg. (Do not take melatonin if
you have an autoimmune disease.)
➤ SAM-e (200 to 600 mg/day). This supplement lowers stress
hormone levels by improving brain function.
➤ Aangamik. Aangamik relieves the stress caused by depression by
oxygenating the brain. Follow directions on the box.
➤ Caprylic acid (365 mg/day). You will need two tablets. It
destroys yeast cells in the intestinal tract.
➤ Garlic. Have as much as you can eat for two to three days,
preferably raw. Raw garlic clears up infl ammation in the
intestinal tract. Proceed with care if the intestinal walls are
severely lacerated.
➤ Castor oil packs. Place on lower abdomen for one hour a day
for a minimum of one week.
➤ Castor oil. Take one to two tablespoons. Castor oil relieves
constipation by activating peristaltic movement in the
intestines.
➤ Ice pack. Whenever the abdomen feels hot as a result of
infl ammation, an ice pack lessons the redness and swelling.
➤ Slippery elm tea. Drink it warm, not hot.
➤ Vitamin E (400 to 800 units/day). As a cancer preventative,
vitamin E also heals hemorrhoids, which are caused more
often by inappropriate diet than are any other intestinal
infl ammatory conditions.
➤ Multiple vitamin and mineral supplements. Ta ke t h e s e t o
replace the nutrients that in intestinal disease often don’t get
absorbed into the bloodstream.
➤ Acupuncture. It helps normalize blood circulation.
➤ Pureed carrots. This remedy is good for diarrhea, especially
in babies and small children.
*Take as many as possible of these nutrients in the form of whole-food complexes. Follow
