water; leave them to soak for a
week, changing the water every
day. Make a small incision in each
walnut, into which you put an
almond and a clove (the cloves are
optional, depending on your taste).


Make a syrup of the sugar and
the water, and leave it to cool,
then put in the walnuts, bring them
to the boil, and simmer for about
20 minutes. Leave them to cool in
the syrup, and the next day boil
them again for another 20 minutes.


When they aré cool put them
into preserving jars. They are
delicious.
