Velocimetry techniques use electromagnetically active particles, sensitive to nuclear
radiations or visible or fluorescent light and which are able to mimic the motion of a flow
particle. In positron emission trajectography (PET), particles are produced by direct
irradiation of a particle in a cyclotron, by adsorption of a radioisotope on the tracer
