Author's explanation:
DSC Distress Relay will include the original DSC Distress Alert information in full - so you will know the
MMSI and position of the casualty from the Relay. Having ascertained that your vessel is within steaming
distance from the casualty, you can report into the Coast Station and provide an ETA (Master's decision). The
MRCC will normally expect you to maintain watch on the voice frequency from then on, so that you can be
contacted at any time.
