If you are learning the above for the first time, or refreshing some
long-forgotten talent, here's a relatively painless way of getting the letters
and figures into your head. First - write each character on a piece of
card, with the phonetic sound on the reverse.
~
I ALFA I
Then - learn three cards each day until you've got them all off
pat. Do this by learning A, B and C on the morning of Day 1, rehearsing
them during the afternoon/evening. On day 2, learn D, E and F in the
morning and rehearse A to F in the afternoon/evening. Day 3 is G, H
and I (a.m.) and A to I (pm/evening) - and so on until you've got the lot.
