QUICK CONGEE


Simmer 1 cup cooked brown
rice, 1 coin fresh ginger,
1 crushed garlic clove, and
1 ¼ cups mushroom or vegetable
broth in a covered saucepan
10 minutes. Season with 1 tsp.
low-sodium soy sauce, then top
with tofu, scallions, mushrooms,
and sesame seeds.
I HEART CHERRIES
Simmer 1 cup frozen cherries with
2 Tbsp. water 6 to 8 minutes, or until
cherries are softened. Spoon over
1 cup hot kasha and sprinkle lightly with
hemp hearts. Add plant milk to taste.
