Controller with onboard Web server
The nine PFC200 controllers are designed with increased
processor speed and more onboard memory, offer gateways
between multiple industrial fieldbuses and enable data transfer
with Cloud Services and SCADA via the MQTT Sparkplug or
OPC UA protocols. An onboard Web server enables dynamic
HTML5 visualizations for use by operators and maintenance
personnel for system operation. A built-in firewall and VPN
helps users deploy defense-in-depth
strategies without the need for addi-
tional components. Programmed with
the e!Cockpit software tool, the
controllers are suitable for OEM-
based applications that require
control, data collection, security
or Cloud/SCADA interfaces.

High-bright panel PCs for harsh applications
VisuNet IND 8200 series HMI panel-mount PCs are Windows-
based, all-in-one panel PCs that mount directly to OEM process
machinery or manufacturing equip-
ment and interface with the control
system. Units are manufactured using
all industrial-grade components. They
are shock- and vibration-resistant,
are globally certified for Class I, Div. 2
and Zone 2 (ATEX and IECEx) opera-
tion and are rated for 2 4/7 operation
in extended-temperature environments. Their industrial design
allows for indoor/outdoor use in even harsh and many times
hazardous applications. The workstations are available in KVM,
direct-monitor, thin-client and panel PC configurations.

AI controller for predictive maintenance
The Sysmac AI controller handles several key steps
in the data-driven decision process for predic-
tive maintenance. The AI functionality—or
machine learning—can
identify abnormal ma-
chine behavior without
being programmed
explicitly to do so.

Because many different factors and measurements may indi-
cate an issue when observed together, automating the feature
extraction process saves time and resources. The controller
automates the process of collecting raw data from machines.
It operates on the edge within the machine, ensuring higher
data fidelity and consistency. The controller also creates data
models automatically from correlation analysis and monitors
machine status based on that model.

RFID interface module with PLC capabilities
The TBEN-L-RFID interface module with PLC capabilities via
CoDeSys can filter and preprocess RFID data and link to broader
control operations, enabling high-speed dynamic or multitag
RFID applications. The module’s design makes it suitable for
retrofitting RFID applications. An IP67 rating allows its use out-
side the cabinet, and actuators and sensors can be connected
with HF and UHF RFID read/write heads simultaneously. These
features reduce the installation and wiring efforts required for
industrial identification solutions. For additional flexibili-
ty, users can set the multiprotocol device to one
of the Ethernet protocols—Profinet,
EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP—
via the CoDeSys environment.

Controller with Windows-based computing
The Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5480 controller combines a
Logix control engine and the Microsoft Windows 10 IoT En-
terprise operating system in a single
platform. The controller can reduce
latency by performing real-time data
collection at the machine level. Users
can view control information at its
source, and other information can
be sent upstream to the enterprise
or cloud. The ability to run Windows
applications on premises can reduce
the need for a separate PC on the plant
floor. The controller can support applications with as many as
150 axes of motion and incorporates multiple security func-
tions, including user authentication and authorization, role-
based access and digitally signed encryption.
