Touch-free UI solutions with capacitive touch-key microcontrollers
Two touch-free user interface (UI) solutions help to simplify the design of 2-D and 3-D control-
based applications. Based on capacitive sensor microcontrollers (MCUs), they detect motion in
a 2 -D coordinate system or in 3 -D space. Design materials
(circuit diagrams, board design data files and parts lists) that
form the reference hardware for the capacitive touch-key
MCU are included, as well as coordinate calculation middle-
ware, sample programs, application notes and an evaluation
tool for monitoring the detected coordinates.

BNI00E1 (Ethernet/IP) and BNI00AZ (Profinet) device integration IO-Link masters feature 4x
Type A IO-Link ports and 4 x Type B IO-Link ports. They offer M 12 T-coded power con-
nections capable of up to 12 A of power and have 9 A of galvanically isolated output
power with up to 2 A per port on Type B ports to drive high-amperage devices
such as pneumatic or hydraulic valves. Web server capabilities on board the
master enable remote configuring, parameterizing and monitoring IO-Link
devices with IODD files without the need for additional software.

The ASi-5/ASi-3 CIP Safety over EtherNet/IP+Modbus TCP gateway (BWU3857) is designed to replace
an existing ASi-3 gateway with no programming effort. It comes with two ASi-5/ASi-3 masters and
can communicate as an ASi-5 master and an ASi-3 master simultaneously in two ASi networks.
The onboard Web server enables simple diagnostics as well as remote mainte-
nance, while the integrated OPC UA server allows incorporation into industry 4 .0
applications. In addition to ASi Safety and Safe Link, the safe fieldbus protocol CIP
Safety over EtherNet/IP is integrated. The gateway is equipped with three two-
channel safe inputs that can be expanded by up to 62 two-channel safe inputs.

porting module that presents multiple trend views in combina-
tion with specific views of contextual operational performance
data. Process behaviors related to specific KPIs can be moni-
tored, and trends of key sensor data can be viewed, enabling rapid detection of root causes that
can lead to actionable intelligence when issues or losses occur. Users can switch between available
dashboards or create new dashboards with trend or context item tiles. In addition to the notifica-
tions users can receive based on monitors they have created, dashboards can be used to assess
operational performance and prioritize which parts of their process require special attention.
