The NSW DPI Game Fish Tagging
Program issues tags free of charge and
worksin close association with the NSW
Game Fishing Association, the Game
Fishing Association of Australia and the

ANSA NSW Branch. The program is run
using funds from the NSW Recreational
Fishing Trust. Over 475,000 fish have
been tagged under the program so far.

This South Australian samsonfish was
first released by Fady Dib in June 2014,
then recaptured and re-released by Luke
Donhardt (pictured) in April this year,
having travelled at least 116 nautical miles
from where it was released 1852 days prior.

22 days later.
