OlinStephensandJohnAlden.TheYachtClubdeMonaco

willalsocreateanevent“village”withabar,loungeandastars

andstripestheme,honouringthecountrydescribedas“dear

totheheart”oftheclub’spresident,PrinceAlbertII.

Aselectionof 70 invitedyachts,includingtheschooners

Puritan(1931)andOrianda(1937),willbeondisplay,

alongsidevintagemotorboatsincludingRivasandall-wood

Chris-Crafts.FourWilliamFife-designedgaffcuttersdating

backto 1906 arealsosettomakeanappearance.

Eightraceswillseesailingyachtsgohead-to-headaround

thebay,asmotorboatscompeteintimedspeedtrials.All

vesselswillthentakepartinthetraditionalConcours

d’Elégance,wherethejudgingpanelwillassessboatlines,

crewattireandnavaletiquettetocrownawinner.

Anumberofonshorecompetitionswillaccompanythe

racing,includingLaBelleClasse,therestorationprizefor

impeccablepreservationofmaritimeheritage,andtheChef’s

Competition,wherecrewmemberspairinnovativedishes

withchampagne.Abustlingsocialprogrammewillalso
