PARIS AIR SHOW 2019 saw

Embraer of Brazil launching a

‘cost-e ective’ new airborne early

warning aircraft in partnership with

Elta Systems of Israel. The P

AEW is based on the Praetor 600

super-midsize business jet  tted

with an ELM-2096 radar in a ‘ski

box’ on top of the aircraft fuselage.

Under the terms of the agreement,

Embraer will be responsible for

the aircraft, ground support,

communications and integration,

while Elta provides the radar and

electronic mission systems. Three

operators will be required for the

system, which o ers 240º coverage

with ‘no power loss at the edges’.
