The project included as many as 43
structural and systems modi cations,
depending on the con guration of the
speci c aircraft. Although Lockheed
Martin’s Greenville, South Carolina, facility
was awarded a $100-million contract,
EC-130E serial 62-1863 Iron Horse was the
only aircraft to undergo the conversion
before the program was canceled. Boeing
had previously modi ed WC-130H
serials 65-0964 and 65-0976 to HC-130P
con guration at its facility in Shreveport,
Louisiana.

has received numerous modi cations,
which include night vision goggle-
