Yard’s trio of ‘master-and-slave’
Class 13s No. 13003 moves over
the yard ‘hump’ in April 1978. The
Class 13s were unique to Tinsley,
having been converted from Class
08sin1965.Twoofthethree
units saw use until the end of

2.Andrew Barclay-built No. D2423
(later to become Class 06
No.06006)wasoneofthefirst15
of the type, identifiable by having
three windows on the back of the
cab. It is pictured at its long-term
home of Inverness on September
15, 1970, but was transferred to
Aberdeen Ferryhill the following

shunts the coal chutes at Sowerby
Bridge on March 23, 1979.
