Goodwood
FESTIVAL OF SPEED
JAGUAR HAD A RELATIVELY LOW PROFILE AT GOODWOOD
in 2019 for the Festival Of Speed. However, Land Rover debuted its
new Discovery in disguise, Aston Martin was the featured marque, and
Jaguar showed off its racing I-Pace plus the F-Type SVO, and drove the
Project 8 up the hill climb - along with an F-Pace which ascended on
two wheels. It also ran its rally F-Type, and a continuous Experience.
Bonham's conducted an auction of memorabilia as well as cars.
Interestingly, V12 E-Type prices were below expectations, while Series
1 E-Types just held ground. Ephemera sold included the 1950s service
sign (£2167), the Silk Cut Jaguar wind tunnel model (£1657), Mike
Hawthorn's helmet (£10,000), Nicholas Watt's painting of Archie Scott
Brown (£1275), the Lwt E-Type model (£2550), Jaguar sign (£1000),
1953 Le Mans sign (£1020), four D-Type sculptures (£1912) and the
E-Type badge sculpture (£1020).
