and 0.120-inch-wall DOM tubing: 1^3 ⁄ 4 -inch

AEV COLORADO SKIDS
AEV now makes Bison-style Col-
orado skidplates available for own-
ers of 2015-current Z71 and ZR2
trucks. Construction is from hot-
stamped boron steel, which is stron-
ger than aluminum and significantly lighter
than steel. It is also highly resistant to gouging. Offerings
include an Engine Skid, Diesel Transmission Skid (highlighted),
Transfer Case Skid (not compatible with all model s), Fuel Tank Skid , and
Rear Differential Slider. Some components are direct replacements, while
others are designed to mount to other AEV skids. All of these parts are made

For later-model 4x4s, Autozone now offers the Duralast Gold line of upgraded replace-
ment chassis parts: ball joints, tie-rod ends, and stabilizer bars. Primary features include
hardened-steel bodies protected by anti-corrosive coatings. Grease fittings further
extend service life. Also, certain Duralast Gold ball joint applications are touted as having a
12 percent larger ball diameter than OE, creating 25 percent greater surface area. Further,
the ball joint’s integrated bearing is designed to better absorb impacts and accommodate

TUFFY 2019 RAM
UNDERSEAT LOCKBOX
The new Tuffy Model 353 is designed
specifically to fit under the rear 60/40 split
bench seat in 2019 Ram pickups. The lock-
box offers more than 3,000 ci of lockable
storage and is concealed from view when
the seats are lowered. Tuffy also offers
optional twist-to-lock, pressure-fit dividers
to maximize internal organization. Each
lockbox is secured by Tuffy’s patented
Pry-Guard Locking System: a 10-tumbler,
double-bitted lock with built-in weather
seals. The lockbox housing is made from
16-gauge steel that has a textured powder-
coated finish. No-drill, secure, nonperma-
nent mounting is via OEM hardware on the
floor of the truck under the bench seats. A
Tuffy security console insert is also avail-
