Williams Jet Tenders is
gearing up to launch its
biggest boat yet. The Evojet
70 is a 23ft waterjet-powered
RIB with a deep-vee hull and a powerful
inboard diesel engine. The fi rst production
model is due to hit the water later this year
with a larger sister model due in 2020.
Designed for use as either a stand-alone
day boat or a superyacht tender, the Evojet
70 boasts seating for 13 and a number of
innovative features unique to this model.
Foremost among these is a folding carbon
fi bre T-Top with a pivoting lid and hinged
supports that allow it to lie fl at on the aft
seats for storage inside the tender garage
of a large superyacht.
Flip-up seat sections on both sides of the
bow and in the middle of the aft bench make
boarding easy from any angle, while a large
200-litre fuel tank and plentiful stowage lockers,
including a coolbox, are perfect for ship-to-
shore transport or longer days out on the water.
As with all Williams tenders, the propulsion
system is a water jet giving excellent
manoeuvrability and a low draft for sneaking
into shallow bays and beaches as well as being
safer for swimmers and snorkelers. A new
pushrod steering system and single lever
throttle control is said to give better accuracy
and control. Power comes from a single 230hp
or 250hp Yanmar diesel engine for increased
range and fuel effi ciency as well as avoiding the
need to carry petrol onboard the mothership.
Ambient deck lighting, contoured seats
and a comprehensive entertainment system
make this the most luxurious
Williams yet. Prices will start
from £155,000, although its
top speed has not yet been
confi rmed nor which of the
autumn shows it is likely to
be launched at.
