Norwegian performance boat builder
Hydrolift now has a UK dealer. Based in
Parkstone Bay in Poole, Saltwater Solutions
has taken delivery of two stock boats, a
Hydrolift X-22 bowrider and a Hydrolift X-26 S
Exclusive Plus. Both have deep-vee stepped
hulls for strong performance and secure
seakeeping. The 22 is fi tted with a Mercury
150hp outboard good for 40 knots while
the 26 has a three-berth cabin and a 300hp
outboard for speeds up to 55 knots..
Saltwater Solutions is owned by Lewis Dale
and Luke Watts, who have a combined 27 years
in the marine industry, and has been trading
for nine years servicing and maintaining boats
from 2.5m to 20m.
9 CHARITY RIDE
Chris Manners, managing director of Penton
Hook Marine Sales, and Richard Bates, boss of
Bates Wharf, are part of a group taking part in a
fundraising event called Riding4Dreams.
The event is a three-day cycle ride from
London to Paris. It’s in support of the
Dreamfl ight charity, an organisation that
changes young lives by taking children with a
serious illness or disability on the holiday of a
lifetime to Orlando, Florida.
It costs £1million to take 192 children,
including 5 tonnes of medical equipment
and supplies and a small army of consultants,
doctors, nurses and 110 volunteer helpers.

AT SUNSEEKER
AND PRINCESS
Sunseeker CEO Christian Marti has left
the company less than a year after joining
the Poole-based yard. He is being replaced
by Andrea Frabetti, who is moving up from
his previous role as chief technical offi cer
at Sunseeker.
Meanwhile, over at Princess Yachts,
Chris Gates has stepped down from his role
as managing director after 30 years in the
business. He will transition to a new role
as special advisor to the executive chairman
Anthony Sheriff.
Sheriff commented: “Chris’s contribution
to our company’s success is immeasurable and
it is fi tting that Chris’s last year as MD has been
the most successful in our company’s history.”
Matt Pears has joined the executive team and
board as chief operating offi cer and has been
appointed to oversee the fi rm’s manufacturing,
