same spot, no midges this time, but with
amazing weedbeds all around we had
some fantastic fishing and managed a
bagful of hard-fighting, well-conditioned
trout. Considering the season, we opted
to fish brighter-coloured flies incorporat-
ing flash and, as an attractor, teamed up
with a natural imitation such as a Papa
