Top row, from left to right: Glomma Sedge, Hosa Sedge, WW Sedge.
Second row, from left to right: Wild Water Sedge, Upwinged Sedge, Wild Water Sedge No. 2.
Below: The Para Poly Sedge – an adult caddis imitation and the author’s best all-round sedge
imitation mainly because of the extreme durability of the Poly Yarn wing material.
When you use wing sheets that have veins it is important that the sheets are cut
and folded in the same direction as the veins of the natural. For sedge wings, cut out
a three-cornered piece of material (folding and cutting diagram A) and fold down in
the middle (diagram B). Once you gain confidence, the first step can be omitted.
