Situated in the spectacular Southern Drakensberg, 9km from
Underberg, 138km from Pietermaritzburg and approximately 592km
from Johannesburg. The venue can be reached by normal sedan.
ACCOMMODATION: The lodge is a historic farm with a 100 year
old farmhouse. Kingfisher and Fish Eagle cottages are available as
self-catering units in a beautiful garden setting. We have a number of
beautiful campsites with upmarket facilities including a microwave
oven, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils and braai
facilities. Access to the Internet and laundry service available on
request. Children welcome.
THE FISHING:Boasts the largest lake in the Underberg area. The
Polela River, which runs through the lake, provides a natural breed-
ing environment for trout. Fishermen have the opportunity of pitting
their skills against wild trout, providing an exciting challenge. There
is also a smaller dam on the farm managed by the Underberg
Himeville Trout Fishing Club available to guests.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:Nature walks, bird-watching, mountain
biking, hiking and great photographic opportunities. Wildlife areas
close by such as Loteni, Cobham, Garden Castle, Vergelegen and
Coleford. Shopping centre and golf course within 10 minutes’ drive
from venue. Horse riding by prior arrangement.

Situated in the heart of the Zulu Kingdom, a mere 70km from Pongola and
five hours from Johannesburg. The lodge has a rich heritage and untamed
natural beauty, which makes it the perfect luxury getaway in the heart of nature.
ACCOMMODATION: Fully catered accommodation is offered in 70
luxury rooms. All the rooms are equipped with DStv, a tea and coffee

THE FISHING: Tigerfish, tilapia and barbel can be targeted in Jozini
Dam, which is within walking distance of the lodge. Wading is not permitted
but motorised boats are allowed. Assisted launching and boat-mooring
facilities. CAR only.
