Spreading the Word
As a subscriber to Our Canada,I
can hardly wait to receive each
issue in the mail. I read them
all from cover to cover before
sharing them with family and
friends. I especially enjoyed
reading Michael T. Wall’s story,
“Canada’s Singing Newfound-
lander” (April-May 2019).
Keep up the good work you are
doing—I recommend this excel-
lent magazine to anyone who
loves this great country.

Pickering, Ont.

International Praise
Newfoundland’s country music
ambassador and good friend
Michael T. Wall sent me your
latest issue (April-May 2019).
I loved this magazine and the
story, “Canada’s Singing New-
foundlander.” Thank you for
publishing this article on him
and keep up the good work—
great job!

KIX MARSHALL
Kix is a Canadian-born speaker,
travel writer and entrepreneur from
Red Deer, Alta. His first love is travel

his own plane for his adventures, he
settled for the next best thing—a 2009 Kawasaki KLR

  1. Now he has a second love, adventure motorcy-
cling, and can usually be found riding around the world
somewhere. He’s also hoping you’ll one day be able to
find him on Netflix and in book stores! In the meantime,
see Destinations on page 58 to find out about Kix’s
    amazing experiences in Costa Rica.

country schools, currently plays in a country band of
four women, and, for many years, played in a band and
sang with her husband before he passed away. Lillian’s
writing skills are on display in this issue’s Storytime
