G

erman powerhouse Hanse Group
continues treating Aussie boaters to the
best of Europe and their latest is a wide-
open 12-metre sportscruiser from Sealine.
The C390 boasts floor-to-ceiling windows
and a large skylight over the saloon to bring the
outdoors in, along with a retractable sunroof over
the aft cockpit that should prove popular among
Australian buyers.
A teak-clad swimplatform and aft cockpit
contribute to a genuine nautical feel in the C390
and it’s a simple affair to transition between
inside and outside living areas thought the wide
bi-fold doors.
An outdoor barbecue is another clever nod to
the Aussie market, but the best is yet to come.
When you’re done enjoying an alfresco lunch
in a quiet bay and it’s time to kick back, the aft
lounge converts to a massive sunbed at the push
of a button.
It's so large, in fact, that it also incorporates
the timber table that minutes ago was holding
your prawns and champagne.
It’s a smart inclusion that blends dayboat
appeal with cabin cruiser utility and speaks to
Sealine’s understanding of how owners are using
their boats these days.
Moving through to the saloon, a hopper
window on starboard helps to open up the
entertaining zone and light timbers inside create
a relaxed feel.
The galley sits opposite a U-shaped lounge
on port and next to the helm, the forward-most
lounge includes a convertible backrest so guests
can sit alongside the skipper when its time to
get underway.
The twin Volvo Penta D4 sterndrives should
punt you quickly toward speeds up to 27 knots,
however an upgrade engine package of twin
D6s is also available and these boast top speeds

approaching 34 knots, if that’s your thing.
Belowdecks, the Sealine C390 can include up
to three cabins in a range of versatile layouts –
not bad for a 12-metre yacht.
A spacious owners’s cabin is set into the
bow, but the aft accommodation space can be
modelled to include, twin singles, roomy double
or a combination of both.
Manging director of Australian distributor
Eyachts Peter Hrones was blown away by his

first look at the C390. “The Hanse Group have
made a huge investment in the Sealine range and it
shows,” he said.
“The quality is very good – German
engineering combined with meticulous finishing
has delivered a very high standard.
“As well as the opening sunroof and big bi-
fold door, I also like the bulwark with high rail
on the driver’s side, the driver’s door and the nice
servery that comes off the galley.”
