yourhandstoaskhimtomoveback,andgentlyencouragewith
yourlegs.
Practisereiningbackbyridingbackonestrideata time—make
sureyougiveyourhorselotsofpraisewhenhehasdoneit.
Makesureyourhorsestandsafterhe’swalkedthatstrideback,so
hedoesn’tgetintothehabitofrunningbackwards.Assoonashe
takes a stride back, loosen the rein, so he knows that’s enough.Consider this...IFyourhorsegetsthroughto
