he 52 replaces the
original Monte Carlo 5
and though it’s more
restrained on the styling
front it is bigger in every
dimension than the old
boat, so the benefi ts are reaped within
the three-cabin interior.
The master cabin amidships is spacious
enough to include a walk-in wardrobe and
an ensuite bathroom. The guest cabins
share a bathroom but the VIP in the bow is
ensuite and complete with scissor-action
berths for quick switches from a double to
a pair of single beds.
The enormous windows of the saloon
create a bright space, boosted by a light,
contemporary décor as well as a very
practical aft-galley layout.
Relatively small IPS600/650 engines
make for an attractive starting price
just north of €600,000, but provide
an ambling 27-knot top speed and
a cruising speed of 20-22 knots.

hose who

the Hawk in

MBY will understand that
Sunseeker’s new sportsboat
is an entirely different kettle
of fi sh to the F-Line. It is a
hard-edged, performance-
oriented machine with a
Fabio Buzzi hull and two
snarling Mercury Racing outboards
on the stern churning out a combined
total of 800hp. There is nowhere to
sleep and it costs more than twice as much
as the Fairline but its ability to travel at high
speed so comfortably through rough
conditions is astonishing.
Clearly there is an eye on the superyacht
tender market (there is a lifting pack as an
option) but there are few boats that will get you
from berth to beach bar as quickly as this.
