his is the second Ferretti
to sport a bold Filippo Salvetti
exterior and it really is a
striking craft.
Sometimes looks don’t
always translate from
rendering to reality but if the 720’s do
then we’re certainly in for a visual treat.
On board, the fl ybridge covers an
area of some 30m^2 and features a
carbon fi bre and GRP composite
hardtop to help lower the centre of
gravity. Efforts to save weight and
the electro-hydraulic steering system
developed with XENTA should ensure
the 720 doesn’t feel cumbersome at
sea. The largest MAN V12 1,400hp
engines will likely be good for a top speed
of more than 30 knots.
There are four cabins on the lower
deck with three guests cabins including
a VIP forward and a full-beam master ensuite
located amidships. This boat is a classy
customer that will undoubtedly have its
rivals sitting up and paying attention.

the Wallytender in 2001.

These days you can’t move

for smart, stylish day boats with big power and

even bigger sunpads, but it was the eccentric

Italian yard that set the trend.

Eighteen years on and the basic Wallytender

shape is unchanged and still as cool as frozen

cucumber, but under the stewardship of the

Ferretti Group it has gained some appealing

features. It gets folding balconies in the

cockpit as standard and a

hydraulic passerelle that

doubles as a swim ladder.

There’s also a hidden

anchor mechanism that

sprouts from the bow.

It’s a modern icon with

a 38-knot top speed and

enough sleeping space

for two.
