Varicose veins are veins that
are weakened, swollen and
stretched due to factors such as
oxidation and the breakdown
of collagen and elastin.
The antioxidant effects of
grapeseed extract offer protection
against the enzymes that
break down collagen and
elastin fibres supporting veins
and arteries. Some research
suggests that grapeseed
extract can also help prevent
haemorrhoids, a form of varicose
veins that occur around the
anus and in the rectum.
Studies have shown that
grapeseed extract provides
antioxidant protection against
damaging free radicals and
help maintain blood flow to
the skin. It also helps maintain
the structure and appearance
of the skin with its anti-
elastase activity. Test- tube
studies have demonstrated
that the bioflavonoids in
grapeseed extract cross-link and
strengthen capillary walls.
As the skin is made up
largely of collagen and elastin,
reducing the breakdown of
these tissues and improving
their structure helps the
skin stay firm, supple,
and younger-looking.

DIRECTIONS
Take a dietary supplement that
contains 40mg to 80mg of a
grapeseed extract standardised
to at least 80% polyphenols.
For therapeutic purposes, use
between 150mg and 550mg of
grapeseed extract standardised
to at least 60% proanthocyanidins
for a few months.

POST

A true, loving heart is looking for
a man who also has a true heart.
She believes in living life as a
blind date ... as we need no eyes
to see someone’s heart, goodness,
care, love, respect, loyalty, and
all the fun that comes with
romance. She is a novice poet and
writer, with a wondrous gypsy
romance and love for a good,
romantic guy. I am attractive, not
a beauty queen, but passion, fire
and goodness r un through my
body, mind, heart and soul. If you
are craving love for the rest of
your life, please write soon. You
should be very romantic, loving,
good and kind, and know how
to treat a lady. You may take a
drink, but not smoke at all. No
tempers allowed and your age
should be deep in your 70s or
80s; no younger please. Older
men give true love forever, and
I am a diamond, a very rare find,
and anxious to hear from you.
Blind Date, 6045

I am a 55-year-old, white widow
with no kids. I am a Christian
and don’t smoke or drink.
I love camping, the outdoors
and animals, especially dogs.
I believe in standing by my
man, and supporting his goals
in life. I’m loyal and not a party
animal, and am willing to
relocate for the right partner.
I am looking for a white man
between 55 and 70 years old.
He needs to be financially secure,
know how to treat a lady and love

dogs. I am looking for a long-
term relationship, so if you don’t
want to commit, don’t write.
All Yours, 9480

I am a retired KwaZulu-Natal
wildlife ranger, who has worked
in various areas for 35 years.
I love animals (I have two Border
collies) and get on very well with
people, especially those with a
sense of humour. Religion or race
do not bother me. I love travelling
by road, especially to Cape Town
and the Kruger National Park
and other game reserves. I also
love walking and swimming, and
watching sport, news and movies.
I would love to relocate to
near a beach or to a rural area.
I don’t drink or smoke, but
don’t mind anyone doing so
moderately, and I eat simple
food. I would sincerely
love to meet someone who
shares these interests.
The Lone Ranger, 3291

I am a widow who lives and
works on the East Rand. I am a
senior citizen, but age is just a
number. I play golf and bridge
and enjoy the movies, theatre
and social interaction. I am a
keen traveller to both local and
international destinations. It
would be nice to meet someone
special, aged 75 or older.
I am happy to be a friend,
with no commitment.
Independence is important.
