behindthesubtlyluxuriousGioChiThè

hensteppingonboardGioChiThè,you’re

immediatelyhitbythefeelingofcontinuityin

theexteriordecoration.Thecolourpalettewas

intendedtoechothesuperstructureoftheyacht,

a43-metreCodecasa.Mostofthetextilesusedonthedeck

werebyRalphLaurenandwechoseoutdoorfurniturepieces

byDolcefarnienteandBraid.Thissenseofharmony

continuesthroughouttheboat.

Asyoustepintothelargesaloonoffthemaindeck,you’ll

find1950s-inspireddesigncombinedwithEasterntouches,

inthesatingoldfinishusedonthelamps,forinstance.

Wechoseacolourpaletteoforangesandsandhuesand

combinedanumberoftextileswithdarkwoodfurniture

andawhitewashedoakfloortoenhancethis.Wewanted

thespacetobeelegantbutnottooformal.

Theclientwantedaclean,moderninterior,butthere

wasstillagreatdealofattentionpaidtothedetails.We

usedanumberofluxuryfinishes,fromPalissandromarble

onthebarofthemainsaloonandasflooringinthehall

oftheguestareas,andCalacattaandSicismarbleinthe

bathrooms.Thewholestaircaseareaiscoveredwith

leatherandthecabinshaveleather-upholstered

headboards,bothfromPenelopeOggi.

Theinnovativedesignoftheyachtincludedawide-body

owner’ssuiteandthisallowedfortheinclusionofaprivate

study.Wecustom-madefurnitureforthespaceand

continuedthecolourscheme,usingtextilesfromHermès

andDedarintheowner’scabin.Theinteriorschemehas

anelegancethatweareveryproudof.”
