We know that hitting

up on the ball with the

driver is a key element

to maximizing distance,

but how and when you try

to hit up matters a lot.

Champ’s hips are level with

the horizon but his left

shoulder is actually lower

than the right. While these

alignments will change at

impact, the fact that he

hasn’t leaned back or tilted

to the right this far into

the downswing is a huge

lesson for all golfers.
