How To Be An Agnostic
Cosmic religion? Perhaps not. But whereas it’s been quite
common recently to assume that science does not do God, it’d
be nearer the truth to say that science has long inspired the
theistic, and it may well encourage the agnostic in their con-
viction that the something which the cosmos is, leaves many
metaphysical questions open. If there is no conclusive scientifi c
reason to believe, there is no conclusive scientifi c reason not
to believe too. And yet, there’s more to be said, which we can
develop now – and in a way that takes us back to Socrates.
