great bathroom is one of life’s great pleasures. When it’s designed

well with plenty of your own personal touches, it makes spending

time in your bathroom a delight – and brushing your teeth

not so bad. If you have a bathroom refresh or complete

renovation on the plans for 2019, here’s three things to keep in mind.

1. Luxe comes in all shapes and size. As well as luxurious finishes like
   metallics and marble looks, you can bring touches of comfort to your
   bathroom with added extras like underfloor heating, heated towel rails and
   temperate-controlled hot water.


2. Lighting makes a diff erence Natural and planned lighting can make
   a huge diff erence in a room. If you need to bring in more natural light
   consider adding more mirror to increase reflection. Wall lights and task
   lighting are also great ways to add character and practicality at the same
   time. Consider a pendant near the mirror to add an extra focal point and
   a strong design statement.


3. Be brave with colour Bringing colour into your bathroom doesn’t
   just rest with tiles or paint. Coloured cabinetry, basins and fixtures all
   have a place in modern bathrooms. The common denominator? Keep
   it simple. If you’re going for a strong statement colour, be confident but
   don’t overdo it.
