Linking Family Trajectories and Personal
Networks

Introduction
Considering individual trajectories and personal networks as mutually
dependent, the aim of this chapter is to investigate the cumulative impact
of co-residence trajectories on the composition of personal configura-
tions. Personal networks are to some extent the result of mere repeated
exposure/engagement to others, as this action contributes to creating feel-
ings of similarity, attraction, and familiarity (Moreland and Zajonc 1982 ).
