Families and Personal Networks An International Comparative Perspective

This book is dedicated to all our colleagues from Portugal, Switzerland and
Lithuania that have collaborated and worked together over the last 20 years
on families, social networks and the life course.
We give special thanks to the founder of this scientific network, Jean
Kellerhals, who encouraged collaborative research between sociologists of the
family in these countries, particularly on families and family networks.
Thanks also to all the interviewees who participated in the three national
surveys on family trajectories and social networks.
