Well Being In The Wild, Lime Cross Nursery, Herstmonceux, Hailsham,
East Sussex, BN27 4RS. wellbeinginthewild.com
Wellbeing in the Wild is located at Lime Cross Nursery in Herstmonceux in East
Sussex. Activities such as yoga, wild swimming, meditation, tai chi and pilates take
place on the decked banks of a pristine, spring-fed lake. The lake and surrounding
area is home to a wealth of wildlife, including freshwater mussels, moorhens, ducks,
rare dragon flies, buzzards, a family of alpacas and more.
The primary use of the lake is to provide water for the plants that are grown in the
nursery, however, throughout the last three years, a schedule of classes have also
taken place. Classes are carried out in the open air so attendees can tune into the
sounds of nature and relax in the blissful surroundings.
Yoga classes are often followed by the option to wild swim in the lake and then
warm up in the lakeside wood-fired hot tub, a wonderful combination that leaves
your whole body feeling stretched and rejuvenated.
Yoga and pilates retreat days offer the chance for guests to take part in the
classes, wild swim in the lake, use the hot tub, walk in the ancient woodland and
enjoy a delicious lunch or brunch prepared at the onsite café and served by the
lake. In addition to this, it is also possible to drop into a range of weekly classes.
Massage and beauty treatments are carried out in the newly installed OOD
House, a modular mirrored glass building that overlooks the lake, providing an
incredible, private space with a spectacular view. The space is also available to rent.
