You should know the answer to this already if you have read this far! But
even if you just flipped to this page, it’s clear that the answer is A just from
looking at the numerical values in the graph. Although this is a rather elementary
example, it has many qualities of the funkier graphics you’ll find on the SAT.
Instead of using a nice, clean bar graph, we’ve thrown in these weird gauges. As
long as you read the labels above each pair of gauges, you’re in the clear;
otherwise you could accidentally mix up the outcome that they are trying to
represent. And you need to realize that the qualities being measured are the same
in each pair and that they are being represented in exactly the same way.
