Congratulations to The Yoga Institute for unveiling the Centenary Celebration
Logo at the 88th birthday celebration of Dr. Saheb. Kudos to the organizing team for
putting together an enthralling and well-organized event.
It is such a joy to see the world recognize the contribution of The Yoga Institute
in selflessly serving the cause of yoga for 100 years. Immensely inspiring!

I would like to share a spiritual experience I had when I was eight years old. This
is with refrence to Yoga Sutra 1.20 on Smriti or memory.
Next to the house where my grandmother lived was a convent of Carmelites. I
felt strongly attracted to the place, to the sublime songs of the nuns and the silence.
I really liked going there and encouraged my brothers and friends to approach the
place, but they went on playing.
One day I heard the voice of God, they were not words but an invitation to join
Him. I said yes. It was the first time in my life that I was disconnected from my family,
that I felt like an independent being that made a decision of its own. I discovered the
soul and a unique way between God and Montse. It totally changed my perception
of myself. This experience is still alive in me, ever since I was 8 years old.

The Satsang celebration marking the 88th birthday of Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra
was very well-organized right from the decorations, to the welcome, to the skits
and the compering. Congratulations to the entire team for putting up such a great
event. The speech by Shri Ramesh Prabhu was very inspiring, especially where he
mentioned that how most of us are looking for name, fame and recognition and
always looking to put our names on anything big or small that we create, whereas,
the ones who invented yoga, didn’t even put their names on it.
