ALTERNATE-NOSTRIL BREATHING


(NADI SHODHANA PRANAYAMA)


Sit upright and cover your right nostril with the
thumb of your right hand as you breathe deeply into
your left nostril. Now block your left nostril with your
ring fi nger, pause for one count, then breathe out
through your right nostril for one count. Then, inhale
through your right nostril. Pause, block the right nos-
tril with your thumb, and exhale through your left
nostril. Repeat this cycle for 5 minutes or longer.
