Describe yourself as a colour
All the warm tones of the colour wheel from yellow, through oranges
and into red – they all suit me; they are all fiery, active colours. I am
definitely a person who is on the go all the time, and find it difficult
to sit still.

Morning or night person
I like to think I am both because my day starts early and
finishes late.

Favourite meal
Curry and spice meals. I eat them all the time particularly Balti and
Madras dishes with tomato bases rather than cream. I also like
spinach dishes, so Sag Aloo is a favourite.

Most memorable holiday
One in Prague, with my now fiance, and the other in Paris with my
daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday. In Prague, we went to watch
Swan Lake at the Hybernia Theatre. It’s a magnificent venue. I would
love to go back. I love city breaks as they act as a sort of boost
during the year.

Favourite book
I am not one to read fiction so most of my personal library contains
books on topics to do with yoga, nutrition and recipes, travel, and
physiology.

Best light-bulb moment
Looking back, I like to think that maturity has given me a better
understanding of life as a whole, so I cannot think of one particular
enlightening moment. With age comes wisdom. I like to believe
that time is a great healer and try not to be overwhelmed by life’s
challenges and to be more pro-active and less dramatic over things.

Often when you reflect on something that happened it is not as bad
as you thought it was at the time.

Happiest moment to date
When my partner proposed to me during a log cabin break in
Sherwood Forest. I loved the relaxing week we enjoyed together. The
weather was superb, the location great and, of course, I loved the
freedom of the location and being able to cycle and just have fun.

Wish for anything – what would it be
Something to do with improving one of society’s health issues, so
it would be to try and prevent suffering from acute illness. Also, I
would wish for people to be kinder to one another. People spend too
much time beating one another down and it’s unnecessary.

Naughty but nice
It must be chocolate, but pure chocolate, maybe with nuts.
What comes after a good curry in a restaurant? Chocolate
and the bill!
