If you’re a member at a club, you most
likely play most of your golf at your
home course and, therefore, you
probably think you know it well. But
do you? Chances are you don’t know
the optimum way to play each hole, all
of the no-go zones, the breaks on the
greens, the distances into pins from
different locations and the distances to
hazards from tees and fairways.
Create a notebook for your course. In
addition to highlighting yardages and
hazards, you can record your own shot
history. Keeping a track of how you
play each hole will show you where you
need to make improvements to your
technique and course management.1
