Actress and veteran sex symbol Raquel
Welch, 76, has attributed her youthful
looks to yoga. She told press recently
that she began with Bikram Yoga and it
transformed her life. “It changed my life.
When you start with yoga you become
a yogini, so to speak - your sensitivity
changes and you feel more things in a
more profound way.” The star of movies
such as Fantastic Voyage and One
Million Years BC, she was once ranked
by Empire magazine as one of the ‘100
Sexiest Stars in Film History’.Wine detox
Wine buffs are turning to yoga to better
manage their lifestyle and create more
balance. “Without my [yoga] practice,
I would likely not still be in the wine
business,” Rebecca Hopkins of Folio
Fine Wine Partners, who has been in the
wine industry for 25 years, was quoted
as saying by Wine Enthusiast magazine.
She began yoga in 2007, after relocating
to San Francisco from Australia but says
it’s now commonplace. “Hedonism, it’s
an easy trap to fall into,” she says of the
wine industry.Talent show
Dog yoga (or Doga) was featured on
the popular Britain’s Got Talent show
recently. Contestant and yoga instructor
Mahny - a well known Doga teacher - and
her pet dog Robbie took to the stage
to perform a short routine in front of
judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams and
Amanda Holden, as well as hosts Ant &
Dec. All were then invited onto the stage
with their own pooches to take part.
