Spilt Milk Yoga - A Guided Self-Inquiry To

Finding Your Own Wisdom, Joy, And Purpose

Through Motherhood

Cathryn Monro, Familius, $14.95

A companion guide for mothers who want to experience the happiness,
peace and purpose available in each moment and who want to be more
present and connected to themselves and their children. The author
combines personal experience, honesty and humour to acknowledge
the moments when motherhood stretches us to the edges of our
tolerance, patience, anger and exhaustion. Through guided self-inquiry,
this book helps us to view these challenges as opportunities to grow
not in spite of motherhood but because of it.

The Goddess And The Guru

Michael M. Bowden, Parallel Press, $29.95

An intimate, comprehensive audience with one of the great
spiritual masters of our time, this book tells the life story
of Dr. N. Prahlada Sastry, an Indian nuclear scientist who
abandoned his career to build a goddess temple in the jungle.
Tens of thousands followed. Grounded in Sri Vidya, the world’s
oldest surviving and most sophisticated school of goddess
worship, Sastry’s life and work reveal powerful teachings that
for centuries were inaccessible to all but the most privileged
few. This book, which includes both colour and black & white
illustrations, is an insight into a remarkable true story.
