Practice with Presence
dōTERRA Anchor dōTERRA Align dōTERRA Arise
Use it when... you want to feel
more rooted and grounded
where you are. “I love using
this before I practice and at the
end of my day, when it’s time
to wind down into sleep,”
says Brower.
Practice with purpose: Before
seated meditation and prior to
your yoga practice, rub a few
drops between your palms,
hold your hands in Lotus Mudra
in front of your face, and take
five slow, deep breaths in
through your nose. Notice how
it helps you feel more steady
and balanced.
Repeat this mantra:
“I am at home in my body.”
Use it when... you want to feel
more centered, and embody a
sense of peace, spaciousness,
and fluidity. “I rub a few drops
onto my chest, wrists, and the
back of my neck,” says Brower.
“It helps me get ready to give
and receive in my heart. It’s
also great for muscle soreness
and tension.”
Practice with purpose: Use a
diffuser, or simply rub a few
drops onto your neck and chest
before practicing standing poses,
such as Warrior II, Triangle, and
Gate Pose—or as you begin a
busy day.
Repeat this mantra:
“I am aligned with my heart.”
Use it when... you want to create a
state of focus in the body, or when
you’re needing a nudge to rise
up—whether it’s first thing in the
morning or when discouragement
and opposition are hampering your
capacities. “I love Arise prior to
morning meditation,” says Brower.
“I put a drop on the center of my
forehead and a drop on my upper
lip, just under my nose. It’s uplifting,
and makes me really happy.”
Practice with purpose: This scent
can also be particularly helpful
when you’re practicing poses you
find challenging, to feel a sense of
acceptance and enlightenment
in the moment.
Repeat this mantra:
“I am awake and alive.”
FOR ELENA BROWER—a mother, yoga and meditation student and teacher, business owner, and
dōTERRA Wellness Advocate—essential oils help her stay grounded, happy, and feeling balanced. They help
her arrive home in her body, heart, and the present moment—whether she’s on her meditation cushion, yoga
mat, working, or preparing dinner for her son.
A longtime dōTERRA devotee, Brower has a space in her New York City apartment dedicated to creating
and blending oils for her family and friends. “I’ve always loved creating my own blends to enhance or shift
my mood,” says Brower. So when dōTERRA asked her to collaborate on a few signature blends for yoga
and meditation, the options seemed endless.
Here, Brower shares her thoughts on how to use each of the oils in
doTERRA’s new Yoga Collection trio:
