It’s back! Yoga in the walkways at Tower Bridge returns this autumn
B
ack by popular demand, yoga inside London’s iconic
Tower Bridge makes its return this autumn, with classes
through to December.
Kick-start your day with some energetic Vinyasa
Flow yoga, with a bird’s eye view from the world’s most
famous bridge. Strike a pose on the mesmerising glass floors, a
heart-thumping 138ft above the River Thames.
The high-level walkways provide a must-see view of London. Yogis
may also get lucky and witness the magic of the bridge’s famous
bascules raising for a river vessel – an experience not to be missed.
And don’t worry: the glass floors, installed in 2014, are supported
by a carbon steel framework and designed to withstand the weight
equivalent of one elephant and two London Black Cabs.
The 50-minute yoga classes, open to all levels, take place on
the third Wednesday (starting 7.30am) of every month and the first
Saturday (starting 8am) of every month.
Two London-based yoga teachers will lead the classes: Sarah
McFadden (sarah.yoga) on Saturdays and Emmy Lopes
(emmyyoga.com) on Wednesdays.
Spaces limited and booking essential (via Eventbrite). For further
details visit: towerbridge.org.uk
